1)   What are the properties of Cedar?
Cedar is an extremely beautiful and durable timber. It has high insulating value, its own natural oils and a delightful aroma which give this unique species natural resistance to rot and insect attacks - without any added chemicals! It is grown and harvested through environmentally responsible planning and re-forestation programs to ensure forests for the future and timber supplies in perpetuity.

2)   Is it easy to install?
All out garden buildings are constructed in pre-made panels which are precision built in our factory. Hardware and instructions are provided to give you an effective and simple construction method that forms a rigid and robust structure.

We would say that for someone who has never done it before, allow 3 to 4 hours for installation. The initial portion, which involves assembling the frame could be a two person job. Alternatively, you may choose to use our professional installation service

3)   What material is udes for internals of the Shed?
The internal framing of our buildings are constructed from locally produced kiln dried pine, structurally graded and visually checked to ensure the highest quality materials are used in our buildings. The bottom wall plate is treated pine (Arsenic free!) for longevity.

4)   Are the sheds insulated?
Our wall panels include Protectafoil between the framing and cedar weatherboards. This forms a breathable protective barrier to stop condensation or moisture penetrating the walls, giving you a superior product.

Protectafoil is available in shed roofs as an option.

5)    What sort of floor is needed?
A plywood floor is an optional extra with this shed. You can place this shed on firm ground - Crushed Rock, Pavers or Concrete Slab. Anchor brackets and bolts for fixing the shed to a firm ground (fixed pavers or slab) can be ordered seperately.

6)    What material is the flooring?
Flooring is made of Particle Board. This is fixed to (Arsenic free) treated pine bearers gives you a solid and stable floor. A sub-floor including stumps is also available for unleveled sites or extra floor clearance. Children playing in the cubby will have no access to the treated pine bearers as they are under the particle board floor.

7)   What material is the door?
Our sheds and workshops have a solid plywood door with a grooved face, heavy duty hinges and optional chrome lockset. The door is weatherproof. Our studios have a 4 paneled 'house type' door with locking handle.
